Chickpea (Cicer arietinum), a legume species in the genus Cicer, belonging to the Faboideae subfamily of the legumes (Fabaceae) family.
Pea growing just over a year, growing seeds, the size of a plant in Turkey up to 50 centimeters. The seeds are sometimes beige, sometimes darker or even black.
Chickpea is an easy plant to grow. It is grown in arid areas in Anatolia. It withstands water scarcity and does not attach much importance to soil quality. If the weather isn’t hot enough, revenue will be bad.
The leaves are 5 – 15 mm in size and the buds can grow up to 30 mm in length. It can also be eaten green before the seeds dry out. Dried chickpeas are used in many dishes.
